Yes, when a dog licks his nose he picks up some scent from it then sample in the olfactory glands called Jacobson’s organ located on the roof of his mouth.

Dog whiskers or also known as vibrissae have an important purpose for them. They can guide them in the dark and they can help them determine the sizes and shapes of objects. Dogs are good at sensing if there is a danger approaching, right? Their whiskers play an important role here.

Dogs only have sweat glands in their paw, they can be found between their paw pads. That’s why it can help to wet the bottom of their feet, especially on hot days. Panting is another way of dogs to cool down.

There are more than 150 dog breeds that are divided into 8 classes, and these are sporting, hound, working, and terrier, toy, non-sporting, herding and miscellaneous. As of 2018, the estimated number of dogs around the world is 900 million.
